We have been bringing our Honda, Acura and Toyota here since the parents opened the shop about 12 years ago. Adam and Eric have done a wonderful job with the business and we are proud to say that we continue to have all of our auto repair and maintenance performed at their shop in San Carlos. They even have their local shuttle take us back home to Belmont. We could not be more pleased with the service we receive and the special attention we get everytime we bring our cars in. We are always greeted warmly and everything, estimates do not change and all services are explained. A+ Japanese has earned a life time customer with us, our friends and family.

Helpful and engaging staff -- also, gotta love their striving to always serve their customers to the best of their abilities. They seem to be be willing to test out new means to strengthen the relationship with customers i.e. automatic check-up notification through e-mail

WOW! The warranty attracted me, I'm staying for the service.
My Camry's break light was activated after I had the break system fixed. Since I could not get away due to school and work, I waited a week or two before I was free from work. It was slow at work and my supervisor said she was forced to send me home early. I thought I should call APJ and see if they can squeeze me in. I thought that it would be impossible. I called and spoke with Rob, and he said if there isn't anything wrong with the breaks, and I feel comfortable driving it, the car will be seen as soon as I arrive. I left San Jose right away and made for San Carlos. When I arrived at APJ, my Camry was attended to right away. Unbelievable! They test drove it, and checked other areas in the break system that might be activating the break light. No other issues were found. They did find a bubble in the break fluid, so they bled it, and topped it off. I was quickly back on the road heading home. I think it was less than an hour. APJ's warranty attracted me but I am staying for the most positive customer service oriented mechanic shop I have ever experienced. Every thing was done without any issues or negative attitudes. I thought there might be some grudges, but that was far from reality. Everyone was friendly like I was paying for the service, but I was not spending a dime. Thank you very much A plus Japanese. You give mechanics a good name. Keep it up you?re on the right track.

spoke too soon
Customer Review: I just had my brakes serviced and now the brake light is on and because of the light, i'm thinking, the cruise control is not functional. So now I'll have to take time off from school or work. I don't mind paying $$$ so I don't have to return at a latter date for related issues.

Great! Just Great. It took me a while to find A+. I'm happy to have found A+ and I don't plan on finding another mechanic. I would like to add that in dire situations, and in the economic situation we are in, only necessary work be done and talked about. For example if a flush can wait then let it wait. Only services that are necessary should be done, so cost can be minimized as much as possible. Otherwise the work and people are great and the warranty helps me sleep easier about the work. You can't go wrong with A+. To repeat I am sure; I give A+ an A+
